“Dr. Cosmo” is a life long resident of Cranston. He has been involved with the Cranston community throughout his life and has been making beautiful smiles since 1998. He received his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology and Physics from Providence College and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania. He also received a post-doctoral degree in orthodontics and completed a specialized residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at Boston University, where he remains a faculty member.
Dr. Cosmo is well-respected as both a doctor and an academic. He has published many articles in respected peer-reviewed scientific publications such as The Journal of the American Dental Association. He also gives lectures on dental science regionally, nationally and even internationally. He is a member of many professional medical organizations, such as the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Rhode Island Association of Orthodontists, Rhode Island Dental Association and the Seattle Study Club. He also acts as a research and clinical advisor for several major medical, dental and orthodontic products companies. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Outside of the office, Dr. Cosmo enjoys volunteering with groups such as the American Cancer Society and the Tomorrow Fund, a non-profit organization helping children with cancer in Rhode Island. He also enjoys tennis, golf, running, stonework and mosaic design, fishing and research.
